It has been said, that if you don’t like the weather in Wyoming wait 10 minutes and it will change.
I am beginning to believe that! We were lucky to enjoy fall, winter and a fabulous Indian summer all in one week. (There is a possibility there may have been a touch of spring thrown in as well.)

First snow of the season hit on October 11. And there was one very excited boy!

When you own a huge, powerful husky, and you get a dog sled for your birthday the first snow may as well be a national holiday!

And it was so much fun! The dog learned a little, the boy got worn out and cold. And everyone was smiles from ear to ear.
(Even if mom had to improvise a tug line out of baling twine.)

While Aiden had a new dog sled to try out, Addie had a new horse to ride! Meet Allie.

October 17 (6 days after the snow if you’re counting) we went out to the lake for a ride!

Addie rode Allie and Aiden rode Molly. The weather was perfect. We were all well mounted and it was the most perfect ride ever! (I think I say that every time, don’t I?)
Aiden had so much fun riding Molly we have decided we are just going to keep the grand old mare. (And everyone around my place is super happy about that decision.)

We were headed out across the flats at a pretty quick lope when I heard this sound coming up behind me.
“WeeeHehehe! WeeeHehehe!”
Yes, it was my son, on Molly, going as fast as the old gal could go, Aiden's arms stretched wide like he was flying and just giggling and loving life.
Yeah, old Molly. I love you, my darling. You have a home for life!

I rode Julienne. She was just the perfect ride all day! She is a nice horse. If someone wants a nice little palomino quarter horse mare that anyone can ride, give me a call. I am about to get her up for sale.

Julienne giving me a hug in the sun!
Thanks for joining us for the many seasons of the week.
Big changes are coming to the barnyard. Stay tuned to find out how I’m shaking it up this time!
In the mean time, I am busy updating horses for sale! Check them out!
Thank you for visiting, come back soon!
